A Study of Construction Material Vulnerabilities in the Context of Climate Change
We design and build with expectations of durability. However, in a world of shifting
climates, these expectations often fail. This project investigates the discrepancy between the intended and actual lifespan of construction materials—not through abstract data, but through visual evidence.
By photographic analysis, and layered infographics, it traces how materials erode under environmental pressures like humidity, pollution, and extreme temperatures. The goal is not to prescribe solutions but to visualize the fragility of material permanence and invite critical reflection on how we adapt to the future.
